Internal Sales (Transport Co-Ordinator)

This duel role consists of taking ownership of the branch’s commercial vehicle delivery schedules on a day-to-day basis, whilst also playing an equal role with the other members of the branch sales team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Sales

  • You will be responsible for all things sales related, working with the other internal staff, to help create a proactive and sales orientated culture
  • You will provide support to the external sales representative, raising quotes & orders, providing back-up support while they are out on the road
  • Sourcing non-standard products and negotiating prices
  • Responding to a wide range of queries from customers (both trade and retail)
  • Helping in all areas of the branch operation as necessary

Transport

  • You will take ownership of the transport schedule for multiple vehicles
  • You will schedule deliveries for multiple teams within the business
  • You will be responsible to structure delivery schedules in the most efficient (cost and time) order available

Requirements:

  • You will need to be confident, and sales focused, be adept at decision making, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in operating commercial vehicles or managing delivery scheduling for multiple commercial vehicles
  • Previous experience in sales is essential
  • Proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Sound knowledge of building materials, both heavy and light side
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
