You will be an integral part of our sales team, working with your team members to create a proactive and sales-oriented culture. You’ll be responsible for developing a ledger of customers, seeking opportunities and maximising profits. It will also require working closely with our Account Manager, supporting them by dealing with enquiries and orders. The journey doesn’t just stop once you’ve got the order, you will be responsible for the whole process, from start to finish, making sure it all runs smoothly.
It can get quite busy in the office and we expect everyone to muck in where they can so don’t just expect to be glued to the phone. We want each and every customer to have a fantastic experience when they come to us, so we need someone who isn’t afraid to jump up and serve on the counter, have a bit of banter with the builders and find out more about their projects in order to maximise sales.
If you know a bit about building materials, that’s great, but we'd rather you have some sales experience and a hunger for success.
You’ll be contracted to work a 42.5 hour week, Monday to Friday. We’re open between 7am and 4.30pm so we need a bit of flexibility when it comes to start and finish times to make sure we’re always there when our customers need us. You’ll also be contracted to work 26 Saturdays a year on a rota basis.
